Story aout a young christian man...

A young man had been to Wednesday night Bible Study. The Pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the Lord's voice.The young man couldn't help but wonder, "Does God still speak to people?"
After service he went out with some friends for coffee and pie and they discussed the message. Several different ones talked about how God had led them in different ways. It was about ten o'clock when the young man started driving home. Sitting in his car, he just began to pray, "God...If you still to people speak to me. I will listen. I will do my best to obey." As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the strangest thought to stop and buy a gallon of milk. He shook his head and said out loud, "God is that you?" He didn't get a reply and started on toward home. But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk. The young man thought about Samuel and how he didn't recognize the voice of God, and how little Samuel ran to Eli. "Okay, God, in case that is you, I will buy the milk." It didn't seem like too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the milk. He stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward home. As he passed Seventh Street, he again felt the urge, "Turn Down that street." This is crazy he thought and drove on past the intersection. Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Street. At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh. Half jokingly, he said out loud, "Okay, God, I will". He drove several blocks, when suddenly, he felt like he should stop. He pulled over to the curb and looked around. He was in semi commercial area of town. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst of neighborhoods either. The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like the people were already in bed. Again, he sensed something, "Go and give the milk to the people in the
house across the street." The young man looked at the house.
It was dark and it looked like the people were either gone or they were already asleep. He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat. "Lord, this is insane. Those people are asleep and if I wake them up, they are going to be mad and I will look stupid." Again, he felt like he should go and give the milk. Finally, he opened the door, "Okay God, if this is you, I will go to the door and I will give them the milk. If you want me to look like a crazyperson, okay. I want to be obedient. I guess that will count for something but if they don't answer right away, I am out of here." He walked across the street and rang the bell. He could hear some noise inside. A man's voice yelled out, "Who is it? What do you want?" Then the door opened before the young man could get away. The man was standing there in his jeans and T-shirt. He looked like he just got out of bed. He had a strange look on his face and he didn't seem too happy to have some stranger standing on his doorstep. "What is it?" The young man thrust out the gallon of milk, "Here, I brought this to you." The man took the milk and rushed down a hallway. Then from down the hall came a woman carrying the milk toward the kitchen. The man was following her holding a baby. The baby was crying. The man had tears streaming down his face. The man began speaking and half crying, "We were just praying. We had some big bills this month and we ran out of money. We didn'thave any milk for our baby. I was just praying and asking God to show me how to get some milk." His wife in the kitchen yelled out, "I ask him to send an Angel with some. Are you an Angel?" The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the money he had on him and put in the man's hand. He turned and walked back toward his car and the tears were streaming down his face. He knew that God still answers prayers.

This is a true story. Well, ummm... I got this story from my friend... he or she send this e-mail message to me. I read and then got touched by this story.Honestly, I almost cry out. hahah ><. 'God always listen to prayers!' God Bless everyone =)

An exceptionally noisy day...

Yesterday was fine, no interruptions and such. Well, the movie was really good, although some factors are missing, like the tournament losing its 'action'. No point complaining, its good, no regrets. The movie was still based on the plot originally in the book, which was good. Before the movie we ate at KFC. (forgot to pay Greg back >< sorry) And before that we waited in front of Cineplex for everyone to arrive. And before that, well, Burt picked me up, and I handed him the food my mom wanted to give him, and gave him back his GC, since my mom said it was rude to keep it so long here.

Hm, back to today. Woke up, came online, chatted with Min. Disconnected, online, disconnected, online. You get my point, don't you? Did my work, one being the translation, one being the codes I've compiled. Hacked some more, did a bit more on item translation. A bit difficult, cuz I can't access the dictionary online. Got it done around 12. I was on and off then, so meh. Candice confronted me this morning, and we chatted for a bit. Went okay I suppose. Just feels a bit weird.

Everytime I try to open PS, the signal dies off and everything shuts down. I think my RAM can't support it anymore, and I need to empty out some stuff in the system. Told my dad about it, and he simply grunted, as usual.

My worker's kids arrived today. Making the total of satanic kids in the house 6. So if you were here, you'd probably need some earmuffs. They are constantly running around, beside me, behind me, eh, you get the drill. Some people came to fix the A/c this afternoon, so I found it a little difficult to sleep. Woke up around 5, took an early dinner. And watched as my parents went out around 6.

Really, net is really unstable right now. Sometimes its on, sometimes its off. Well, yeah, its probably that way the whole of Brunei and I'm probably better off compared to the people who can't go online at all. So yeah, I guess I'll bear with it. If I get cut off, I'll probably redo my work, and resume doing other things. Hopefully, I can make it to the ball tomorrow, if its still on.

Sorry if the blog is a bit dull, I'm supposed to blog a tutorial..but maybe not this time. Tomorrow perhaps. Good night, and have a nice day. Hope your day goes better than mine. Though I suppose mine's not the worst.

Another day, another tutorial.

Okay, let's get started immediately shall we folks? Since I already blogged at LRW's, I shall now just blog a tutorial here. I wonder which shall I blog about? *thinks hard*

Okay, first one. How to turn ridiculously ugly and grainy blur scans into better looking brighter ones. Simple. I'll try making it simple. If you have a blur image(Like one taken from a phone-cam), and want to make it clearer, this will help a bit, I suppose.

Step 1: Grab your scan/image, whether you've extracted it from another image or something and copy it onto another new canvas.
Step 2: With your scan/image selected, press Ctrl+J twice.
Step 3: On the copy above the original, as in the second one. Go to Filter->Blur->Gaussian Blur and set it to at least 4.0 to 5.0.
Step 4: Still with the same layer selected, change its transparency to Overlay.
Step 5: Select the topmost layer, and simply change it's transparency to Color.
Step 6: Either Flatten your image, or select the topmost layer and press Ctrl+E until all layers are merged. Depends on which you chose to do, results will vary.

Now, does it still look grainy? If yes, repeat the steps, only use a lesser amount when doing Gaussian Blur, about 2.0 or 3.0 I suppose. Hopefully that was helpful. (works for me, i'm not sure about you though @@")

Okay, next one. *thinking of what to do next* Ah yes! Simplest 3D works. Not the advanced one though, for that you'd need Photoshop 7, and I know Manzy has it. But Photoshop 7 lacks a few functions in 8 CS and 8 CS2. Okay, so this effect should be applicable in all Photoshops, I guess. >_>"

Step 1: Create a BLACK background. Any size is fine.
Step 2: Filter->Render->Lens Flare and place it anywhere in the document. Do a few of these, but not too much. At least 1 to 4 I guess, and don't place them too near each other, if you'd like try placing them in the corners.
Step 3: Do a Filter->Sketch->Chrome. Details should be 10, and Smoothness can range from 0 to 3, depends.
Step 4: Filter->Distort->Wave, and hit Randomize a few times. You'll get a random wavy thingie. If you're not happy with something simple like this, you can try other effects like Twirl.
Step 5: Hit Ctrl+U, and select Colorize. Any color would do. And then Ctrl+B, and do a color balance, play around until you get a color you like.
Step 6: Okay, now, if you're happy with it, leave it alone. If you're not, and if you only did 1 or 2 lens flares, duplicate the current layer and Go to Edit->Transform->Flip Horizontal/Vertical. And set the blending mode to either Overlay, or Soft Light.
Step 7: Save, and do what you want to it. Maybe even try the other stuff I had in the other tutorials.

And remember always save it as JPEG unless you are working on a few layers and you're not done, then you save it as PSD! ><

Here again!

Well, no tutorials this time I suppose n_n" ? Haha, well, I was planning to make this a normal blog as possible. Okay, so maybe this time I'll share a little photoshop trick again? Pretty simple I suppose. But before that I'd like to blog about my weird dream I had two nights ago. @@"

Kay so in my dream, it was many years in the future. Where, er, me and Min are a married couple with two kids, with the boy being 7, and the girl being 4. >_>" Don't laugh. I'm a designer, and Min works in some kind of studio doing sound effects and music effects and whatnot. Son is already schooling, and daughter hasn't.

The dream started off at dinner time, where the two kids are bickering at each other. After dinner, my so called son went up to his room to play computer games. And a few hours passed quickly, without doing anything much and it was already their bed time. So Min and me went up to our son's bedroom telling him to shut the PC off and sleep, and he said he would soon. And then went to our daughter's room, read her a story and she dozed off. After that Min took her shower and I waited for my turn, and then after she came out I took mine. After that, we went to sleep. But around 1am in the morning, our daughter came into the room and told us she didn't want to sleep alone. So we let her sleep in between. After a while I decided to go to the bathroom. After I came out my daughter was already sleeping on my pillow in my place. So I left her for a while and went to check on my son. He fell asleep on the table so I took a blanket and covered him with it. Went to get spare pillow and blanket and slept in my bedroom, but on the floor, cuz I think I didn't want to wake my daughter up. >_>" After falling asleep, I woke up, because I found Min lying down on top of me. >_>"" So we just slept on. And after a while again, I felt something else next to me and it was my daughter. - -" Weird. So everyone has a floor. So when morning came, during breakfast, I told them that they all had nice comfty beds but they chose to sleep elsewhere, like the floor and table. So my daughter scolded me and said I slept on the floor as well. Son was sneaking off to play again, and Min scolded him because he hasn't done his homework yet and he has to go to school soon. (I have no idea why we're awake so early) He went off to do his work and then me and my daughter were talking about how scary Min was XD Then Min called me from behind and hit me with a frying pan and then I woke up - -"..Well..weird? I guess so XP Well, I dunno why I decided to blog about this but yeah, haha, it was a bit funny when I woke up, I laughed to myself about it ><

Kayyy, now, short tutorial. Cel-shading or whatnot. In other words, you can change 'real' images into cartoonish images. Not perfect, but an interesting effect nonetheless.

Step 1 - Open up an image. Not too big or it might cause lag.
Step 2 - Copy the layer by clicking CTRL+J.
Step 3 - Uncheck the visibility of the top layer, as in the copy by clicking on the small eye.
Step 4 - Make sure the bottom layer is selected as the currently active layer. Go to Blur->Smart Blur. Set the quality to High if you want good results and set the next pop-down menu to Edges Only. Change the settings until you think it's 'okay'. Not too detailed or grainy.
Step 5 - Press CTRL+I to invert the colors. Don't worry too much if it looks a bit too weird now.
Step 6 - Still on the bottom layer selected, select Filter->Artistic->Cutout and play around until it looks good and not too weird. Usually, the settings preferred are 2, 4 and 2 respectively. When you're satisfied, click OK.
Step 7 - Make the top layer visible again, and make sure its the currently active layer.
Step 8 - Filter->Blur->Gaussian Blur, and settings should be 5 pixels and above, or according to preference.
Step 9 - CTRL+SHIFT+F and then leave the opacity at 100%, select Darken from the drop down menu.
Step 10 - Change the layer transparency to Multiply. If you don't like it, try other different transparencies.

I hope that wasn't too hard to understand @@"...Well, I hope it turns out well for you if you try it and you don't necessarily need 'real' images n_n" You can try different images and effects and see how it turns out! >< And last but not least, I'd like to thank Manzy for getting me the Bleach poster! Here, and something else too!

Well, I just finished blogging at DA. Was good, I got to blog again, but eventhough I've forgotten most of the things thats been happening to me it still feels good to blog.

I guess I'm missing out on a lot of things, especially everyone's progress. I guess I'm used to having the internet being so good I can't live properly knowing that its so slow and retarded right now. ><

Right, now what am I supposed to blog right here? Well, me and Min are doing fine together. We'll be entering our 6th month of being together on this 18th. That is if I'm not counting wrong >_>"

Okay, my signal seems to be dying again. I guess this entry might not go through. Eh - -" Its back again. Nevermind.

Okay just for fun, I guess I'll create my own tutorial XD How to make Grunge backgrounds in Photoshop~ This is one of the first few things I learned how to do on my own, but of course, as I've read other tutorials, there are other ways of doing this, I'll try to make it as simple as possible. Firstly, you'll need Grunge Brushes, you can download them from GreyCobra, or from DeviantArt.

Step 1: Create a new document, make sure the background is white. Any size is fine.

Step 2: Go to Filter -> Render -> Clouds

Step 3: Create a new layer by pressing Ctrl+Shift+N, and paint using your grunge brush, make sure you're painting in black. Go wild, paint like crazy, but don't over do it.

Step 4: Once you're done painting, change your brush to white, and create another new layer. Use a different kind of Grunge Brush if you'd like, and go crazy again.

Step 5: Repeat Steps 3 and 4, make sure you create a new layer before brushing again.

Step 6: Once you're happy with your work, it would be good to save at this point. Merge all the layers from the top to the bottom, do this by pressing Ctrl+E. Or just Flatten the image by going to the Layer dropdown menu.

Step 7(a): Now, there are different kind of effects you can apply to your background now. If you'd like a normal one color only background, do the following.

Step 8(a): First, press Ctrl+U, to open up the Hue and Saturation Menu, click on Colorize and set your settings until you get a color you desire. Play around for a while. Then, go to Layer->New Adjustment Layer->Color Balance. Play around with this too. Got the color you want yet? Good. Now you can Flatten the image again, and place whatever you want onto the background.

Step 7(b): If you'd like a fiery apocalyptic effect. Do the following.

Step 8(b): Ctrl+U, as usual. Do any color you want, it doesn't really matter. Now go to Image->Mode->Grayscale. Your Background should be in Black and White again. Now go to Image->Mode->Index Color. From the drop down menu, select Black Body and hit Ok. You should get a background that looks like its on fire or something. To finish up, go to Image->Mode->RGB Colors. And then do what you want with the background.

Step 7(c): Now, for the last kind of background effect. (Yes, theres more, but this is it for now, I'm a tad tired from all the typing) Multi-colored background effect. Do the following.

Step 8(c): No, this time you're not required to do Ctrl+U. Go to Layer->New Adjustment Layer->Selective Color. Play with Black, White and Neutral. Make sure the Background isn't too bright and messy looking. Now, Layer->New Adjustment Layer->Color Balance until you get a color you desire. Create a new layer, and select the Gradient tool, get a mix of 2 or 3 colors that you like and drag in a \ or / direction. Right click on your layer and change your layer transparency to either Soft Light or Overlay, to your preference. Nice effect, no? If you want, create another layer and do the same, only with a different set of Gradient colors, and do the same with the layer transparency. Voila! You're done.

Step 9: Obviously, save your result! Thanks for reading, hope its easy enough to understand. You'll have to do a lot of playing around to get the result you want! Watch out for more! XD (If I even bother to write anymore XP)

That's fucked up

Guy: turns to girl, "So, can we do "that"?"
Girl: "Can we do what?"
Guy: "You know, can I be your first, finally?"
Girl: "Um.....no."
Guy: "Why?"
Girl: "Because, 1. you have a girlfriend, who happens to be my friend......."
Guy: "So, if you don't tell, I won' tell."
Girl: "Besides that, I'm waiting for someone special. Someone that I want to be with for the rest of my life to be my first."
Guy: "I'm not special to you?"
Girl: "You're my friend. That's all."
Guy: looks forward and keeps driving.

5 minutes pass.......

Guy: starts to run his hand up the girl's thigh.
Girl: moves his hand, "Don't touch me?"
Guy: tries to kiss her.
Girl: screams, "Would you stop."
Guy: continues trying.
Girl: moves to the back seat.

Guy: parks on an abandoned street and gets in the backseat with the girl. Starts to kiss her.
Girl: pushes him off and scoots over, "Please, don't do this."
Guy: "Don't do what, I know you want it, I can see it in your eyes." Moves over to her and starts to unbutton her pants.
Girl: pushes him harder and says, "No, don't."
Guy: getting aggravated, punches her and tells her to stop "playing hard to get".
Girl: crying, continues to fight.
Guy: punches her harder, pulls her pants off, and holds her down.
Girl: screams as he penetrates her, "NO, please don't do this to me!"
Guy: puts his hand over her mouth.

An hour passes.........

Guy: pulls back and wipes himself off.
Girl: sits on the corner of the seat, sobbing.
Guy: looks at her and says, "You better not tell anybody about this. If you're really my friend, you won't tell anybody about this. You know I love you." He reaches out his hand to touch her cheek.
Girl: pulls back, "Just take me home, now."
Guy: says, "Alright." Gets in the front seat and drives her home.

2 months later.........
Girl: "Doctor, what's wrong with me. I haven't had my time of the month in 2 months."
Doctor: looks at her, "You haven't been having your "time" for a reason."
Girl: looks at him and says, "Why?" dreading the answer that she was sure to receive.
Doctor: "You are pregnant."
Girl: faints.The story gets out that she is pregnant, and people start looking to the Guy. He claims that it isn't his because she was sleeping with every guy in the school(which was a lie). He goes to her and tells her, "I'm telling you, if you lie to people and say that I raped you, I'll kill you.

"The Girl is completely devastated. First, he took her virginity and got her pregnant....then he lied about it. So completely depressed......the girl commits suicide by drug overdose.......
